Tech That Will Change The Future

One hundred years ago, no one could have possibly imagined the technological marvels that would become part of our every day lives today. Today, we have tech that can allow us to chat with anyone in the world, watch videos, check the news, play games, and so much more, and it all sits snugly in our pockets.

It’s difficult to imagine how the technology we have today could possibly be improved upon, but as we speak, scientists are coming up with state-of-the-art innovations that have the potential to change the future in more ways than one. We’re talking about stuff that was once only part of the world of science fiction; where the limits of human creativity and technology meet, combining to make the world a more convenient, more connected, and more interesting place.

These are some of the technologies that are set to change the world.

  1. Virtual Assistants

For as long as there has been business and bosses, there have been assistants. These are the people behind the scenes that make sure everything it working slowly. They do the paperwork, they manage schedules, and they ensure that nothing goes wrong. It didn’t take long for developers to realise that the average person could benefit greatly from having their own, personal assistants, but without having to pay someone wages every month.

What we have then are programs like Siri, Amazon’s Alexa, and more, who we can control through voice instruction, and will handle everything from ordering food to getting the results of horse racing betting wagers.

  1. Crispr

The world of medicine has advanced greatly over the last few decades, and we’re on the cusp of a new innovation that will start to tear down the walls of one of humanity’s greatest mysteries: genes. Crispr, short for Clustered Regulatory Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats, is a newly developed gene-splicing technology that will be capable of finding and altering or removing certain sections of DNA.

What this could potentially mean is an end to genetic disorders, such as cancer, Alzheimer’s, and much, much more.

  1. Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence has been seen as either humanity’s greatest achievements or most disastrous blunders, at least in pop culture. But instead of Skynet, scientists are working on artificial intelligence systems designed to assist humanity in more ways than one. This means great insight into the human body and diseases, answers that could potentially fix many of our environmental problems, and automated systems that can handle more complex problems for the average user.

  1. Self-Driving Cars

Despite the fact that self-driving cars have caused some serious problems in recent months, companies like Tesla and Uber are still hard at work developing cars that will no longer need drivers. These cars may become more necessary in the future as more transport is needed, and traffic jams become worse by the year.

The technology may also see development in the goods transport sector as more call for better truck safety on the roads.
